Current bushcraft/wilderness survival classes are lacking in two major areas.
Accessibility - many people cannot enroll in bushcraft courses due to the time commitment required of multi day classes, and or the financial cost.
Skill Development - All encompassing courses currently on the market cover too many subjects in a single class, and students do not acquire repeatable skills unless they are consistently out in the woods practicing what they just learned.
BCS Primal Phases (classes) will initially be single day classes. Each laser focused on a pillar of wilderness skills.
The primary goal of these classes is to create repeatable skills in the student, and have them walk away from a single day class with satisfaction in that skill.
Secondarily these classes will be defined by a “low signature” theme. This reflects the desired outcome for just about any student, no matter what their outdoor endeavor may be. The “low signature” mantra is useful to birders and hunters who will find more engagement with wildlife the less disturbance they cause. The overnight backpacker will construct a more efficient and comfortable camp that goes up quickly, comes down just as fast, and leaves no sign of human occupation making for a better woodlands experience.
